Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and operations of two lodges, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team, ensuring high performance across all departments.
- Supervise maintenance and reserve managementto uphold conservation and sustainability standards.
- Ensure guest satisfactionthrough outstanding hospitality, personalized service, and attention to detail.
- Manage stock control, procurement, and general administration.
- Implement and maintain high operational standards and procedures.
- Drive sales, reservations, and marketing initiatives where required.
- Work closely with the remote financial management teamfor reporting and budgeting.
- Engage with guests, providing warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences.
- Adapt to and manage the unique challenges of working in a remote location, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field(for work permit applications).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in lodge or luxury hospitality management, preferably in a remote environment.
- Both couples must have experience in lodge management.
- Proven experience working with international guests, understanding their expectations and cultural sensitivities.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee multiple departments.
- Passion for wildlife, conservation, and remote living.
- Exceptional guest relations and communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable approach to daily operations.
- Knowledge of maintenance, sustainability, and reserve managementwould be beneficial.
- Ability to work in a remote location for extended periodsand adapt to the lodge environment.
Package & Benefits:
- Highly negotiable package based on experience.
- On-site accommodation and meals provided.
- Additional specific needs or requests can be considered.
- Work schedule:
- 1 week off after every 2-month cycle.
- 24 days of annual leave.
- Flexible working hours, averaging 45 hours per week.
- Peak season runs from July to November, so leave is not possible during this period.
