Job Purpose:

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations across the boutique hotel, its casual dining restaurant, and event catering services. This includes ensuring excellent guest experiences, driving revenue growth, managing costs, and leading a team to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management
    • Oversee day-to-day F&B operations across the hotel, restaurant, and events.
    • Ensure seamless coordination between kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
    • Maintain high service standards while optimizing efficiency.
    • Implement and uphold SOPs for restaurant service, bar operations, and event execution.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
  1. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
    • Ensure an exceptional guest experience across all F&B outlets.
    • Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Train staff in customer service, upselling, and menu knowledge.
    • Monitor online reviews and implement strategies to improve ratings.
  1. Financial & Cost Control
    • Manage F&B budgets, costs, and profit margins.
    • Control stock levels, minimize waste, and track inventory.
    • Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing and improve profitability.
    • Analyze sales data to optimize menu pricing and profitability.
  1. Team Leadership & Training
    • Lead, train, and motivate restaurant, bar, and events staff.
    • Develop staff schedules to balance efficiency and labour costs.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development plans.
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  1. Events & Banqueting Management
    • Oversee all F&B aspects of weddings, private functions, and corporate events.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen, service teams, and event planners to execute flawless events.
    • Develop tailored food and beverage offerings for different event types.
    • Ensure event spaces are set up efficiently and in line with guest expectations.
  1. Sales & Marketing
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote restaurant specials, events, and experiences.
    • Drive direct bookings and corporate partnerships for events and dining.
    • Develop beer/wine pairing experiences in collaboration with local suppliers.
    • Implement upselling strategies to increase F&B revenue.

    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
    • Financial acumen with experience in cost control and budgeting.
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.
    • Knowledge of food, wine, and craft beer pairings.
    • Strong understanding of event planning and execution.
    • Proficiency in restaurant management systems (POS, stock control software, reservations platforms).

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, F&B Management, or a related field.
    • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar F&B management role.
    • Experience in both casual dining and event catering environments.

Working Conditions:

    • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
    • On-site, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.
    • Involves overseeing multiple venues and event spaces.
