KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Service
Oversee dining service with grace and attentiveness — ensuring rhythm, presence, and excellence throughout each guest experience.
  • Mentor and Support the Service Team
Lead by example in service; train and guide team members to build confidence, consistency, and a genuine sense of care in all interactions.
  • Collaborate Across Culinary & Beverage Teams
Serve as a bridge between kitchen and floor — aligning closely with chefs and beverage leads to honour the intention behind every dish and pairing.
  • Curate & Manage the Wine Program
Lead the curation of the wine and beverage list, ensuring it reflects seasonal sensibility, quality, and regional integrity. Guide pairings and facilitate wine discovery for guests.
  • Communicate with Intention
Share knowledge of ingredients, winemakers, pairings and processes with clarity, storytelling, and respect for the food journey.

YOU ARE:

  • Experienced in boutique or fine dining hospitality (minimum 3 years in a leadership or sommelier role)
  • Grounded in a love for natural, seasonal cuisine and conscious sourcing
  • Confident in your wine knowledge, with formal wine education or sommelier training a plus
  • A natural team mentor with high emotional intelligence and steady leadership energy
  • Calm under pressure, gracious in pace, and present in every moment of service
  • Comfortable working primarily evening shifts during peak seasons, with flexibility and commitment

This is an on-site, full-time role based in Franschhoek, offering the opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven, slow-living hospitality environment where food, land, and story come together to nourish and inspire.
