CLUSTER HOTEL FINANCIAL MANAGER
SCOPE
Reporting to the General Manager & Group FM, this position involves leadership of the Finance and Accounting division for all both Hotel operations. As a member of the Management Team the Financial Controller is expected to demonstrate excellent Financial controls including analytical and accounting skills which include forecasting, revenue management, Capital Expenditure planning, budgeting, monthly reports to Owners and Head Office. Knowledge of IT Systems and providing guidance to the payroll division will also form part of responsibilities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
•
Minimum of a relevant Diploma, Bachelors Degree or similar professional qualification
•
Alternatively, appropriate levels of leadership as a Financial Controller with a minimum of 7 (seven) years related work experience in a Hotel environment
•
Demonstrated business, auditing, and commercial acumen
•
Working knowledge of POS and PMS systems and AccPac or similar Accounting Packages
•

LEADERSHIP OF THE FINANCE FUNCTION INVOLVES THE FOLLOWING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Preparing annual budgets and strategic plans in conjunction with the relevant input from other Managers and Shareholders
•
Completion of year end reporting requirements in accordance with Group policies and instructions
•
Preparation of flash profit and revenue reports
•
Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts and completion of Head Office Reports and returns
•
Preparation of Board Reports
•
Forecasting and preparation of Budgets, special viability studies and Cash Flows,
•
Assistance to the General Manager in respect of commercial and operating decisions which include legal matters, insurance issues and capital expenditure decisions with relevant management
•
Maintenance and integrity of all reporting systems
•
Adherence to Group financial policies and compliance with relevant statutory and applicable regulations
•
Liaison with external service providers
