Finance Manager – Key Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Hotel industry experience essential.
- Willing to relocate to Graaff-Reinet for a dynamic and busy property.
Accounting & Stock Management:
- Oversee full accounting function, including debtors, creditors, payroll, and stock management.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and review stock system accuracy, approvals, and valuations.
Payroll & Employee Benefits:
- Submit payroll data, review reports, and process payments.
- Ensure timely payment of salaries, taxes, and pension contributions.
- Manage pension claims, UIF requests, and employee records.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and budgets.
- Assist in compiling financial statements and managing audits.
- Perform year-end processes, journal entries, and compliance checks.
Cash & Compliance Management:
- Oversee daily cash-ups, bank reconciliations, and petty cash transactions.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT declarations and regulatory reports.
General Administration & Compliance:
- Handle renewals (B-BBEE, liquor license, rental agreements).
- Conduct finance staff evaluations and identify development needs.
- Ensure adherence to hotel financial policies and procedures.
