Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

 

  • Post matric hotel school qualification
  • +3 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel or similar environment
  • Computer literacy including working Opera Cloud Knowledge
  • Previous leadership role advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of English proficiency
  • Ability to plan and implement strategic initiatives
  • Ability to train and develop a team
  • Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
  • Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
  • Able to work shifts as well as under pressure
  • Own transport preferable

Key Performance Objectives:

  • To manage and oversee the daily operations in the hotel,
  • Maintaining the required operating and service standard,
  • Handling and resolving guest queries and complaints,
  • Guest comment management,
  • A high level of leadership and motivational skills,
  • Must be trustworthy and able to work with the hotel and guest money,
  • Handle email requests in a professional and effective manner,
  • Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner,
  • Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property,
  • Ensure knowledge of different offerings at the property,
  • Assisting in the management of guest accounts:
  • Operate the hotel’s Property Management System: OPERA,
  • Check guest in upon arrival and check them out upon departure,
  • Operate the switchboard and direct calls,
  • Restaurant bookings and hotel reservations
  • Assisting in the daily operations in the Food and Beverage department during meal periods,
  • Liaise effectively between departments.
